Scripted Reality
The script.
The script really drags me down.
Tearing my skin off.
Revealing the corporate robot underneath.
My sensors target a customer.
Initiate smile.
“Hi there.
What pump is that?
Do you have a points card?
Okay Doke
The weather’s terrible isn’t it?
So cold.
Ah well, it’ll be summer soon.
There’s your change and receipt.
Thanks.
See ya later.”
Deactivate smile.
For six hours straight.
It’s the sort of thing I never imagined myself being.
My skin is pierced and tattooed.
My beard is grown.
My hair is getting longer.
That isn’t the appearance of a robot.
Or so I thought.
I go home at night.
Occasionally punching a fence.
A lamp post.
Dragging my hand over a rough brick wall.
Just to make sure I can still feel.
To make sure the corporate robot hasn’t taken over fully.
I get home and peel off the corporate skin.
And breathe a sigh of relief.
I’ve escaped it once more.
But I do worry that one day I won’t be able to remove the skin for an extended period of time.
But until that time.
I suppose I’ll continue on my way.
And enjoy these moments that I know I’m human.
Because I never know when it’ll be over.

Evolution of a Hellboy Drawing
Obviously Hellboy is copyrighted to Mike Mignola
But this is a bit of fan art I did :)
Forgive me that I don’t talk much,
It’s just I can’t even bare to talk to myself,
And the way I feel,
Like a venom,
It’ll spread to you.
I care about you too much to let that happen.
+
I often wanted,
To find someone like me.
Which is odd,
Given the amount I dislike myself.
But it would’ve just been something nice to have,
Someone like me.
Same hair problems,
Same health problems,
Same views on things.
So I searched,
But being as shy as I am it took longer than I had anticipated.
Then,
I found them.
It was only fleeting glimpses at first,
But pretty soon I built up the confidence to open up.
“Hey”
I said,
“Hey”
They said,
The same apprehension and fear,
I knew almost instantly we’d be friends,
If we could ever get past “Hey”.
I had to make the first move,
Which was (to put it quite simply) terrifying,
But when I did,
It was worth it.
We had so much in common,
Same likes,
Dislikes,
Taste in clothes.
For months,
Years,
We would sit and talk about everything and nothing.
My family would look at us strangely,
And laugh behind my back,
At first I didn’t care,
I was happy!
But then I started to see flaws,
The problem was that we were TOO similar.
We’d often get into arguments over it,
Which would make my parents mock and laugh more.
Which would get me more worked up and angry.
Until one day, things got physical.
I never meant for them to,
But in the heat of an argument I lashed out,
I felt so bad,
I was never a violent person,
But they made me so angry!
I broke them.
I tried to rebuild them,
Tried to fill the cracks,
But it never worked.
I tried apologising,
But there was no response.
And then I saw the truth,
I shouldn’t have expected a response,
There isn’t much a mirror can say to you.
She
She laughs so loudly,
At absolutely nothing,
She’s so annoying.
She never shuts up,
Talking about nothing, man,
I can’t like her, nope.
Shut up, shup up, just,
Shut the fuck up you stupid,
Immature wee girl!
Rain Haiku
The wind blows the rain,
In flurries, in walls, of rain,
The blue, cold, dark, rain.
Gusting through the trees,
Knocking over bins, fences,
True power of her.
She is the mother,
She creates and she destroys,
She, Mother Nature.

Killer Haiku
The gun in her hand,
White hot from the blast outward,
Ice cold in her heart.
Blood drenches the walls,
The white wallpaper, crimson,
And on the floor, death.
She smiles a cracked smirk,
As she drops the gun and leaves,
Another crime scene.
Star Wars Haiku
The Force is inside,
The Force is inside and out,
The Force is power.
All Jedi are strong,
They are at one with The Force,
Vessels of Power.
Yoda, the master,
Skywalker, the apprentice,
Artoo, the badass.
Holmes Haiku
Young Moriarty,
He’s A Criminal Genius,
Always Foiled, By Holmes
John Watson and Holmes,
A formidable duo,
Of old english times.
Victorian Times,
Were times of true crime, murder,
And Holmes was the cure
