Darth Kyramud and Padawan Ra’Zen photoshoot

The costumes are NOT done, this was just a wee progress shoot.

I need to do something with my tabards to get them the same colour as my robe, also belts are required.

But so far not bad, but what do you guys think?

In the beginning of the Jedi, they used Force Treated Katana which glowed

Katana which glowed, essentially.

I hereby vow to make one!


So, cosplays to date:

Padawan Ra’Zen:

  • Original Character Jedi.
  • Belt Buckle, Obi and Tabards need to be made, then I’m 100%

Kad Rebo:

  • Original Character Mandalorian
  • Gauntlets, Upper Belt, Knees, Cape, Armour placement, Full paint and weathering to be done, then I’m 100%

Kankuro:

  • Got the Headband.
  • That’s about it…..

Tried dying my Obi and Tabards with beetroot juice. Now I smell like beetroot. And the dye didn’t take

Should I make a cosplay of:

Kankuro? (Unleashed)

Or Choji? (Unleashed)

Thoughts?

So I masked off the inside of the cheeks (the bits that’ll remain dark green)

And I got some Green spraypaint. But to lighten it, and to give me another layer of weathering colour, I got yellow too.

Bright. Yellow.

So yeah, I gave it a blast of the yellow, and now I’m waiting on it drying out before giving it another coat.

Still not 100% on the final design, but I included a picture I took of the bonnet of a Kia I saw, and liked.

Maybe incorporate something like that

Well guys I’ve come back swingin’!

Sanded all the junk off it, and found a really well smoothed bucket underneath :)
So took the dive and had primed it. Found a few rough bits. Sanded them down. Then today I primed it again. And looking at it, I saw it was pretty dang good. So I decided to paint it black, as a first coat of paint :)

Up next I’m gonna give it another coat of black, then mask off the stripes, and buy myself the greens and bronze colour that I need :)

Soon I’ll look like this, only without the red scars:
 

So Far

I’ve

  • Sanded my bucket
  • Primed it
  • Primed it again
  • Looked upon it with awe
  • Sorted out my lights for the side of it
  • Had a kickass nosebleed outside
  • Realised blood on concrete is NOT as spectacular as it is on TV and Films

I’d quite like to get a bunch of Clone Trooper Phase 1 helmets, and painting them up with different designs

I reckon I’ll have to sell some canvasses though.

Well do I have a fucking cautionary tale for you?

After much work on my bucket, priming, sanding, priming, sanding, priming, sanding, I was within reach of it being perfect.

Today I gave it another sand, and was ready to prime it.

My dad gave me some apparently really good primer, which “wouldn’t affect the PlastiKote stuff I already had on it” (according to the salesman)

So I gave it a try.

It had a hardcore reaction to the primer.

Not in the good way.

I’m now where I was 2 months ago.

Good times….

I should really have a Yellow Lightsaber

I’m really more akin to a Jedi Sentinel than anything

FINALLY GOTTEN RID OF THE SEAM

Las had used Cataloy to cover over the seam, which created a raised seam.

I had sanded and primed it

But just been out and had a look at it and it wasn’t good enough

The seam was still so visible

So as a result I grabbed my Dremel again

And had at it

And annihilated the seam

So now all I gotta do is wait for it to dry, then do one final sand and spray, then I’ll be ready for paint <3

But don’t tell the Mando’s XD

Well I wasted 5quid on that fucking dye

It’s still pink.

I’m not sure if Beetroot juice would work, but I’ll try it.

Hell, I’ll try fucking Butinox (woodstain) if I have to, or spraypaint.

Because these things are fucking perfect, apart from the colour.

That’s all that’s not right.
